Grumello Valtellina Superiore d.o.c.g.

Wine coming from an upper sub-area which takes its name from the Castle dating from the 11th century.
It is a red wine of great personality with good body and composition to be drunk from the third year after production. It is an ideal companion for red meat, game, rich first couses as well as fairly ripe cheese. It is advisable to keep bottles lying down when ageing.

Grapes: 95% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca), 5% other local grapes (pignola, Rossola, Pinot nero).
Colour: ruby red tending to garnet.
Bouquet: fine, persistent, of hazelnut.
Taste: velvety, harmonious.
Serving temperatures: 18-20 °C.
